Our R&D facilities conduct routine quality checks on all products and the expertise and innovations gained during these important processes are implemented during new product development.

At present we are working on a Q Series Relays for the Indian Railways. These critical signaling products are used by all Indian Railway Zones. The final product may be available in the second quarter of financial year ‘07-’08. We expect to proceed further in manufacturing processes after due approvals from RDSO, Lucknow. Upon completion of this process, J.P. Tools & Technologies will contribute to the overall production of this product, currently underway at the Signal & Telecom Factory, Podanur and Asansal.

Another Telecommunications product which has been identified and currently undergoing prototyping are the MDF Splitters for the DSLAM unit being used by BSNL for their broadband network connectivity. Several implementing agencies have partnered with local manufacturers to supply DSLAM units with broadband switching equipment. Our Splitters are hoped to ease the supply constraints in implementing broadband across geographies. We hope to have a first-mover advantage in this cutting edge product after our R&D and subsequent product approvals are obtained.
